Satoshi Nakamoto to publish a book. Is he really the Bitcoin inventor?

Earlier on 30th June, the Nakamoto Family Foundation came up with an excerpt written by Satoshi Nakamoto himself/herself. The website is a simple text website that has a section from a book that the website claims to be written by Satoshi Nakamoto.

The question? Is this true?

The answer lies in future and meanwhile, the future unfolds, let’s anticipate the current content on the website.

Let’s assume the author of this book is the inventor of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.

The website is dated 29 June 2018 and the website came out on 30 June 2018. The website explains that the book will be in two parts. Furthermore, it will be published only if the need be. It will be published that only if people need to know about the inventor of Bitcoin.

“I wanted to include it as a brief glimpse of history. Even for those that can't read the full book, I wanted to make this available to everyone. A short story if you will, with some of the most brought up questions and answers. I wanted the people and the facts to be known. Or as much of it. I'm still saving most for the books, the best parts hopefully. It's currently just a possibility for now. In the meantime, the excerpt is included.” Says Satoshi Nakamoto.

To know more about the book, you will need to solve a puzzle on Crptopuzzle section of the website. To solve the puzzle here are the clues are given by the author, Satoshi Nakamoto:

- Convert letters to numbers
- Numbers like 1 represent the letter B, it is in mixed order
- Title of book broken into two parts is revealed at the end

These clues will take you to the title of the book. To ease your brain, the answer is here. It’s “Honne and Tatemae”, which are Japanese terms meaning inner state and displayed state respectively. The author has shared a 21-page excerpt titled “Duality”.

The excerpt says that Satoshi Nakamoto is not a real name, at least not a legal name. It is not even a group, it’s one man show.

“I wanted the most common name, which I knew no one outside of Japan had any recollection that Satoshi Nakamoto, was the equivalent of "John Smith." It took time for the public to come to this conclusion, but most with direct access to me had figured it out long ago.” Says the excerpt

The author calls himself as Cyberpunk since the age of 14, which tells us that the author has a birth date in early 70’s. He also mentions that the idea of electronic transactions was in his mind for twenty years. Furthermore, if you pay close attention to the excerpt, you can sense the personal touch in it.

“People may forget about this fact now but for the first year, it really was mostly myself who was the sole and active participant in the network. I was both maintaining it, using it, making changes to the code, fixing bugs, and promoting its use. Most people, in the beginning, were in fact just installing bitcoin once and never using it again, circumventing its intended use. The only person that really chugged away and stayed with it that first year, was Hal Finney” said the author.

Let us not conclude that this is the authenticate inventor of Bitcoin, it might be a fake website and fake excerpt. However, considering the quality of details in the excerpt, it’s imaginable that this can be the real inventor. It’s too early to judge, so let’s just wait for an update.
